Every Purchase Has a Purpose
The Chapel was created to be more than a beautiful place to shop. From the beginning, our hope has been that this little old church could once again be used for something greater than itself.
A primary mission we are honored to support is Shepherd’s Heart International Ministry (SHIM) in Uganda.
SHIM serves communities throughout the Buvuma Islands of Lake Victoria, working alongside Ugandan pastors and leaders to bring lasting spiritual and practical transformation. Their ministry reaches families through evangelism and discipleship, education and child development, healthcare, and economic development.
Why Uganda Is Close to Our Hearts
This ministry is especially meaningful to our family because it is not something we simply support from afar. We have had the privilege of traveling to Uganda, spending time with the people and ministry there, and seeing firsthand the work God is doing through SHIM.
Their heart is not simply to meet immediate needs, but to come alongside local leaders and equip them to serve their own communities in effective, God-honoring ways. That same emphasis on strengthening local leadership has been part of SHIM’s vision from the beginning.
What Your Purchase Helps Support
When you shop at The Chapel, a portion of what is raised helps us continue supporting mission work like this.
SHIM’s ministry includes helping make education accessible to children and young adults, supporting vulnerable students, providing healthcare to island communities, strengthening families, sharing the Gospel, discipling believers, and helping communities grow toward greater stability and opportunity.
So whether you take home an antique, a candle, a gift, or a simple treasure you happened upon, we hope you know that your purchase is connected to something much bigger.
Old treasures. Greater purpose.
Thank you for helping us give, go, and support the work God is doing around the world.
